I am an illustrator because it is a convenient and pleasurable way to convey information. I use illustration in my classes to demonstrate techniques, give instruction, and illustrate concepts. It is one of the multiple ways I can elevate my students’ understanding. I also use illustration in my work as a theatrical designer – creating costume and scenic renderings is one of the most useful artifacts a designer can create for a production
I also illustrate for pleasure. I recently started writing a ‘zine called ‘The Book Oracle’ that I like to illustrate. I also design stained glass patterns for my sister and I’ve started to design and make stickers (who doesn’t love stickers!)
I hope to continue to illustrate all of the above and move into poster illustration and graffiti art.
