Cate O’Brien is an artist and illustrator based in De Pere, WI. Her work often incorporates water color, splatter painting, and a muted pastel color palette. A major theme in her work is a tension between innocence and adulthood. Most of the characters represented in her work are women, which leads to a discussion about what it means to be feminine in this world. Cate explores these themes to create work that is playful, biographical, and unique.
