Mikaela (Mika) Benitez is an artist and graphic designer from Woodstock, Illinois. Primarily works digitally but enjoys experimenting with traditional materials too. Mikaela currently works as the graphic designer for the Cassandra Voss Center, where she works on projects that aim to make an impact on issues surrounding gender, race, and identity. She takes inspiration from people expressing their identities and the mundane tasks that fill her life. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where she experienced new design techniques and would love to discover more from around the world. Reading, ice skating, and playing both video and board games are ways she spends her time when not working on art.
