For this project, I wanted to juxtapose the two worlds the author is discussing – the world of ethical design and the world of unethical design. To do this, I designed examples of both. The supplementary design is a grid of advertisements that sell the worst products in the world: bombs, dangerous beauty, vices, greed.
The primary image is the same, but the “Designer’s Code of Ethics” by Mike Monteiro is recreated as the Constitution. I chose this image because he has written a manifesto that is a guiding document of society (well, designer’s society), just like the US Constitution. Both are documents that enumerate the rights and responsibilities of the citizens.
