Art 389 has helped me greatly as an illustrator. In high school, I wrote, illustrated, and published a book. Back then, I thought illustrations were just drawings to go along with a story, but because of this class, I see that it is more than just that. I have improved my skills and learned new techniques on how to create illustrations, using Gouache especially. I have come to greatly appreciate the concept of gouache and currently use it more than my acrylic paint. In the future, I hope to continue illustrating wherever I go because illustration is a part of art that will never stop me from creating what makes me and others happy.
